This colorful Easter sign is easy to make. You can vary the colors and what the sign says--it could say, “Happy Easter.” If your space is narrow like this one, put  “Happy” in a row above “Easter” since both words would not fit in one row. You could have other other words such as “Hallelujah” or “He is Risen!”

Optional: glue half of a paper doily over the top flap of each letter.

Dollar stores usually have lots of inexpensive items that make great little vignettes for making Easter arrangements--the buckets, flowers, and eggs were all purchased there. If you can’t find buckets, you can wrap colored paper around big and little tin cans for the same effect. They don’t have to be round, you can glue colored paper to cardboard boxes. Add handles, and you have baskets. If you use real flowers, you may want to put them in glass jars filled with water to keep the buckets or cans from rusting. I crumpled paper in the bottom of the bucket with eggs so the eggs piled high instead of being hard to see in the bottom half of the bucket. If you can’t buy plastic eggs, use a clear glass jar with a lid, and fill it with brightly colored candy. Offer a piece as a farewell gift to your guests.

Here are a few ideas to decorate your foyer. This unique spiraling cross is actually made from a cardboard tube. Simply cut both ends off at an angle, and glue them back on as the arms of the cross.
