Giant Cookie

Make cookie dough from scratch and bake a giant cookie on a pizza pan. Eat it plain, or decorate it with icing that says, “Happy Father’s Day!” depending which way Dad prefers.

Quick Method : Buy pre-made cookie dough and icing. Spread cookie dough on a pizza pan or cookie sheet and bake. Cool and decorate with icing.

No-bake Cookie Cake

Buy cookies and whipping cream. Whip cream with sugar and vanilla and spread cookie with whipped cream. Put whipped cream against plate and continue stacking whipped cream covered cookies. After there are about 5 or 6 cookies, cover the top and sides with more whipped cream. Cover and refrigerate over night. Here are some flavor options

Chocolate chip cookies and vanilla whipped cream

Vanilla cookies with coffee and cocoa flavored whipped cream

Oreo cookies with coffee and cocoa flavored whipped cream

Vanilla cookies and whipped cream with chopped nuts or toffee bits

Variation:  Cookie Pizza

On top of the baked giant cookie, spread with cream cheese and jam and top with fruit to look like a pizza. Drizzle with chocolate syrup if you wish..

Repeat these steps till you fill the glass. Decorate the top.

1. Cake

2. Jam

3. Strawberries

4. Pudding and Whipped cream

No-bake “Dad” cake

Use ready made cakes to make a “Dad” cake. Decorate with whipped cream and fruit. The left side of the “D’s” are made with chocolate covered pretzels sticks called Pocky, and available in Walmart’s foreign food or asian food section.

If you want to bake the cake yourself, bake one layer in a round cake pan, and one layer in a square pan. Cut the round layer in half for the “D’s” and cut the square layer to form the “A.”

No-bake Tennis Racket Cake

Use ready made cakes to make a Tennis racket cake. Dig out the middle so the hole is bigger. fill in the racket with pretzel sticks. Use a loaf cake for a handle. Ice mini cupcakes for the balls. If you want to, cover the grip of the handle and edges of the racket with soft chocolate spread.

If you want to bake the cakes yourself, bake a small round cake and a loaf cake, and some mini muffins. Decorate as suggested above.

No-bake Baseball Cake

Cut a loaf cake into a bat shape, and frost it if you want to. Ice the tops of cupcakes white for the balls. Add the red stitching. It is going to look best if you pipe on red icing, but other options would be red sprinkles, red hots or m’n’m’s pushed into the icing sideways, or bits of cut up fruit roll ups (shown here.)

If you want to bake the cakes yourself, bake a a loaf cake, and some cupcakes. Decorate as suggested above.

No-bake Necktie Cake

Cut a loaf cake into a tie shape, and frost it. Add decorations with strips of fruit by the foot, or rows of candy. The cake pictured here is made with jam (mix it first to make it easier to spoon onto the cake.) But it didn’t turn out as well as I had hoped, so it will be hard for kids to do.

If decide to use m’n’m’s on whipped cream, put them on at the last minute, because the colors tend to bleed, and they don’t look very pretty.

If you want to bake the cake yourself, bake it in a loaf pan for a small gathering, or bake it in a sheet cake pan and cut 2 ties for a larger group.

No-bake English Trifle

Cube ready made pound cake or lady fingers.  Mix strawberry jam till it is spoonable, and spoon on top of cake layer. Next put in a layer of sliced strawberries. Next put in a layer of pudding mixed with whipped cream. Repeat these layers until you fill the glass. Decorate the top with more strawberries, small cookies and rolled cookies.

If you can’t find ready made pudding in single serving packs, or use instant pudding mix--it’s quick.
