Cut 24 strips of paper that are 5/8 inch wide (1 cm) and 5 1/4 inches long (13 1/2 cm). This is easiest to do with a paper cutter. Glue the ends together to form 32 rings. Flatten the rings to form leaf shapes.

Put glue on one leaf-- on the top quarter of one side of the leaf, and the bottom quarter of the opposite side of the leaf.

Glue the first two leaves into the top of the cross. Put glue as shown in the photo. Pinch the top of each leaf to secure it to the side wall of the cross, then pinch the bottom sides of the leaves together to make sure there is a secure bond between the leaves.

After the first two leaves are glued to the top section, glue two more leaves in the top section in the same way.

Glue 3 pairs of leaves in the left arm of the cross. These leaves should point to the left.

Glue 3 more pares of leaves in the right arm of the cross. These leaves should point to the right.

Start gluing leaves in the bottom section of the cross. This time make the leaves point down toward the bottom corners.

Finish filling in the bottom section of the cross with a total of 4 pairs of leaves. If there are gaps, pull the leaves so they are a little bit fatter, or squeeze in another pair of leaves to make a total of 6 pairs in the bottom section.

This leaf patterned cross is probably the easiest to make, of the three crosses, because it is filled with only one shape.
