A bay window in our foyer provided a lovely place for this Willowtree nativity set. A wooden tray stood in for the stable as a backdrop, and several dollar store Christmas trees (100 yen store tree) made the scene look more realistic. At night, a light outside looked like the warm glow of a star in the night sky.

This is actually 3 sets--Mary and Joseph are one set, the shepherds and sheep are another set, and the camel and donkey and sheep are a third set. The wise men, not shown make up a fourth set.

This plaque is on a stand on a bookshelf in a bedroom. Plaque nativity scenes like this one are also perfect for rooms that have no surface space, such as a bathroom, so the nativity scene can hang on a wall.

Another year, I put this nativity set on the piano since it was the most prominent place in the living room. Putting it on top of the piano also kept the set out of reach of young curious friends who might have been tempted to play with it. The dollar store Christmas trees helped to make the figures stand out against the light colored wall. The stable was a lap table that was put on it’s side--the legs make the walls.

Another year I put the set on a wooden bookshelf. The brown wood made the whole shelf appear as the stable backdrop.
