Stained Glass window #1

  1. 1.Print one of these stained glass window pictures onto tracing paper or velum. (You can print it on regular copier paper, but it won’t have the translucent affect.)

  2. 2.Fold a piece of card stock in half.

  3. 3.Cut a hole that is slightly smaller than the printed stained glass window picture.

  4. 4.Glue the stained glass window to the back side of the hole.

  5. 5.Or make a sun catcher the same way as the card, except don’t fold the card stock. Trim the card stock to a half inch around the stained glass window, and glue on a ribbon to hang the sun catcher from.

  6. 6.Write “He is risen” on the border.

Stained Glass window #2

  1. 1.Cut a window in black card stock.

  2. 2.Cut 2 pieces of wax paper to fit inside the card stock frame.

  3. 3.Grate bits of old crayons onto one piece of wax paper.

  4. 4.Lay the other piece of waxed paper on top of the piece with the crayon and iron over it until the crayon bits melt. (this should only be done with adult supervision.)

  5. 5.Glue this “stained glass” to the back side of the card stock frame.

  6. 6.Write “He is risen” on the border with pens that can write on black paper, or with white-out.

  7. 7.Clean the iron with a paper towel.

See photos below

Stained Glass window #3

  1. 1.Cut a window in black card stock.

  2. 2.Cut a sheet of clear contact paper to fit inside the card stock frame.

  3. 3.Peal the backing off of the sheet of contact paper, and lay it sticky side up. Lay the frame on top of the contact paper.

  4. 4.Give children pieces of colored tissue paper or cellophane to arrange on the contact paper. Include a paper cut out of a cross. There should be no bits of uncovered contact paper, or it will stick to anything that touches it on the way home.

  5. 5.Write “He is risen” on the border with pens that can write on black paper, or with white-out.

Alternate method: Glue the bits of tissue paper or cellophane to tracing paper, wax paper, or kitchen baking paper.
