Seasons > Christmas > Decorations for the home > Easy Bathroom Decorations for the Bathroom

Even a small bathroom can be decorated for Christmas. The pink cyclamen sits in the corner next to the sink. Because of the mirror, the reflection gives the impression that there are two plants. The pink color gives a welcome change from the usual red around the rest of the house. The other corner near the sink is decorated with a white pillar candle and two star shaped tea light holders. If you really can’t afford the lost space, only decorate one corner. If you are used to having lots of toiletries and cosmetics on the counter, clean up the clutter just for the season. The decorations won’t look very nice with stuff sitting everywhere. Put everything in a basket under the sink. Then whenever you need anything, all you have to do is grab the basket from under the sink, and it is ready to use.

If you have a small ledge next to the bath, it is the perfect place for more decorations. Repeat the same decorations that are on the sink, or use different objects in the same color scheme. If the plant is in a dark corner, set it in the sun every few days to keep it healthy. If you have a wide window ledge, that would be an even better place to decorate with a plant. If you have a window, but no ledge, you could hang it from the ceiling in front of the window.

Here is the same bathroom with a red and green color theme this time. Again, a potted plant and some candles are used. It takes less than 5 minutes to plop down some candles and plants. Of course, if things are a mess, it may take some time to get all that clutter cleared away, but still easily accessible.

It doesn’t take much to add some Christmas cheer to every corner of the house. Here the bathroom sink is decorated with one pillar candle, one votive candle and one tea light. Between the candles put a little greenery and a Christmas ball. It only takes a minute to put them in the corner. Dollar stores sell pillar candles, votive candles and tea lights, so it doesn’t have to cost a lot of money. The bathtub can be decorated in the same way--there is more space, so the arrangement can be a little bigger. It is on a plate for easy clean-up.

NOTE: If you have small children, these decorations won’t do at all. Even if you don’t have small children, but expect to have young visitors, these decorations could cause serious accidents. That doesn’t mean you can’t decorate. Just choose different kinds of Christmas decorations--ones that can be handled without breaking, and that won’t mind a dunking. Keep all breakable decorations on surfaces that young children can’t reach.
