Torn Paper Curly Christmas Tree
Tear off paper curls and glue to a triangle to make Christmas trees.
1.Cut out one triangle and star for each child (or use a sticker star.) If you have to cut a lot of trees, cut several sheets at once to save time.
2.Cut one inch slits every half inch across both ends of a green paper. (see photo below) Again, cut several sheets at once to save time.
3.Show the children how to tear the paper curls. Pick up one tab BUT before you pull it, hold the two tabs on either side of the strip with your other hand. (see photo to the right.)
4.Glue the curls to the tree starting at the bottom, and work your way to the top. To keep glue mess to a minimum, show the children how to rub the cut end of the curl across the top of the glue stick, then stick each curl onto the triangle tree.
5.Glue a star at the top.
